Hello my dear reader π here I am bringing a serendipity for you
πππππππππ€
Yesterday while watching some video on YouTube, I came across this word "SERENDIPITY" and I got a very positive vibe as I heard. I know you must be thinking that what's so special about this. That's what I am going to share about this simple yet very special word.
Sometimes you really get surprised when you stumble upon something very special either a person or some other stuff which you are not looking for but you get that in an unplanned scenario and you find yourself the luckiest person in the world. This is "SERENDIPITY" - the good luck π€π
It's good luck by chance. In our life it's the occurrence of beautiful , delightful, fortunate events by accident or by chance. What I feel that it's the God's plan to give us better or best accidentally without our planning or knowledge. Such surprises brings a spark in our life which leads us to live joyfully. Such events really brings a new hope, plays the role of oxygen which rejuvenate our life.
This topic is so eventful and catchy that one can go deeper and create a whole new world of surprises and drama. There is a Hollywood movie named SERENDIPITY, starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, which is one of the best romantic movies ever made.
There are even different types of serendipity we have which are categorised on the type of situation and their occurrence.
By researcher intention and source :
WALPOLIAN- This is a discovery which is made accidentally when we are looking for some specific problem but we find an unexpected solution instead.
MERTONIAN- In this discovery while looking for some solution for a problem unexpectedly we find an information which further provides a solution for another problem and not for the original one.
BUSHIAN - A discovery made when a person is not actively looking for a problem, and stumbles upon a new solution or opportunity.
STEPHANIAN - The accidental discovery of a solution to a problem through a series of errors or a methodological blunder.
By nature of the discovery:
COLUMBIAN - A discovery made while looking for one thing, but the discovery itself is something completely different (e.g., Christopher Columbus searching for Asia and finding the Americas).
ARCHIMEDEAN - A solution to a known problem is found unexpectedly during an unrelated activity (e.g., Archimedes realizing how to measure volume by observing water displacement while taking a bath).
GALILEAN - A discovery made possible by new tools or capabilities (e.g., Galileo using a telescope to make new astronomical observations).
By discovery trigger :
THUNDERBOLT : An entirely new problem-solution pairing that emerges unexpectedly (e.g., the invention of the rolling suitcase).
ARCHIMEDES : A solution to a known problem is found through an unrelated source (e.g., Joseph Priestley discovering soda water after a brewing process gave him an idea).
